What Is the Opportunity?

We seek a skilled Consulting Technology Engineer with AWS and Automation experience to manage Travelers’ Wide Area Networks in Redhill, Surrey. Responsibilities include designing, deploying, maintaining, and supporting network infrastructure for over 30,000 employees, including cloud and on-premise networks, with a focus on code-based management.

What Will You Do?

  • Design, analyze, configure, and troubleshoot WAN, cloud, and on-prem network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, SD-WAN, and routing protocols.
  • Implement network solutions supporting cloud VPNs, global WAN, data centers, remote offices, Internet/DMZ, and B2B connections.
  • Maintain network service quality and reliability, monitor hardware/software, and respond to issues promptly.
  • Provide local support in London and occasional travel to UK field offices.
  • Support troubleshooting, documentation, and collaboration across teams.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

  • Experience in Technology and as a technical lead preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of network, database, server, and storage technologies.

Technical Skills and Competencies:

  • Experience with AWS and/or GCP native cloud services.
  • Proficiency in Cisco networking, SD-WAN, automation scripting (Terraform, Python, REST API, Rundeck), and network management tools.
  • Knowledge of MPLS, optical networks, BGP, OSPF, VxLAN, NFV, IPv4, QoS, and disaster recovery.

Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field, with 5+ years of experience, or Master’s with 3+ years.
