Job description

Overview:

We are looking for an experienced and highly organised Wholesale Senior Merchandiser to join our growing team. This role is key in managing the product lifecycle from order placement to delivery, ensuring margin targets are met and the critical path is followed across all wholesale accounts. Fluency in Mandarin Chinese is preferred due to close collaboration with our overseas suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the Critical Path: Track and maintain all elements of the critical path from order confirmation through to delivery, ensuring key deadlines are achieved.
• Order Placement & Management: Accurately place and manage bulk orders with factories, following up on samples, approvals, lab dips, and production statuses.
• Margin Management: Ensure all orders are placed in line with target margins, costing requirements, and seasonal strategies.
• Wholesale Account Support: Liaise with key wholesale customers to confirm order details, manage timelines, and provide regular updates on progress.
• Supplier Communication: Act as the main point of contact for offshore factories (particularly in China & Turkey), managing communication around production, shipping, and issue resolution.
• Problem Solving: Quickly identify and resolve production or shipping issues to minimise delays or cost impact.
• Reporting & Analysis: Maintain accurate records of order statuses, margin reports, and delivery schedules using internal systems.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a wholesale merchandising or production role within the fashion industry.
• Strong understanding of the fast fashion supply chain, production lead times, and wholesale operations.
• Highly proficient in managing critical paths, placing orders, and working with international suppliers.
• Mandarin Chinese speaking preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage both internal stakeholders and external suppliers/customers.
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PLM/ERP systems, and general merchandising tools.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
