Job Description: Wholesale Credit Risk Data Analyst - AVP, London

This role offers an opportunity to work at the heart of a global financial institution, Citi, focusing on Counterparty Credit Risk and data analysis within the Product Development team for Institutional Credit Management (ICM).

Team/Role Overview

Institutional Credit Management provides integrated credit underwriting and risk management for Citi’s wholesale businesses. This data-analytics focused product development role involves executing credit risk processes, data, and technology capabilities. Located in London, near Citi’s Senior Risk Officers, this position offers significant growth potential in Data, Product Development, and Credit Risk.

Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and maintain dashboards for credit risk monitoring and analysis.
2. Collect, clean, and analyze credit risk data to identify patterns and inform strategic decisions.
3. Provide insights to stakeholders based on data analysis.
4. Gather requirements from stakeholders, translate into technical specifications, and develop new products or features.
5. Serve as the primary contact and SME for data & analytics, updating on project progress and feedback.
6. Identify opportunities to improve products and processes for better efficiency and decision-making.
7. Collaborate with business managers, technology, and sales to align on vision and industry trends.

Qualifications

• Experience in data/analytics within a financial institution.
• Understanding of credit risk concepts and ability to interpret complex risk data.
• Proficiency with data visualization tools (preferably Tableau).
• Skills in SQL and/or Python for data manipulation.
• Experience with low-code ETL tools (e.g., Tableau Prep, Alteryx) is a plus.
• Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple projects.
• Analytical and creative mindset.
