Title: Wholesale Corporate Credit Manager
Location: Slough
Salary: 45k plus 2x cars and great benefits
Job Purpose.
Reporting directly to the Corporate Credit Senior Manager, the wholesale Credit Underwriter is a key member of the team responsible for managing credit risk on new and existing customers with large exposures.
The role –
1. Conducting credit reviews on new and existing customers,
2. Spreading customer accounts and obtaining credit grades,
3. Preparing written credit reviews for submission to credit approvers such as the Senior Credit Manager, Credit Director or Credit Committees,
4. Reviewing credit application documents prepared by other credit managers and granting approvals within agreed mandates, or declining / requesting further information, as required,
5. Ensuring that in-house Credit Underwriting Guidelines are followed in the preparation of credit reviews and the management of customers and their data.
6. Ensuring all relevant documentation is retained, and customer files are “audit ready” at all times,
7. Monitoring customers and responding appropriately to credit alerts.
8. Participation in department planning and risk meetings,
9. Ensuring timely compliance with the Corporate Credit Department’s objectives and deadlines,
10. Liaising with the Dealer Finance and Sales Support departments on reviews in progress and administrative issues.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS:
Able to interpret financial statements, write credit reviews, and make recommendations about credit limits and security.
Three or more years in a corporate credit evaluation role, with a personal mandate to approve credit limits.
Experience in a unit stocking environment would be an advantage.
