Job summary

Juicy Couture is seeking a commercially focused Product Developer to join their team on a 1 year maternity contract.

You will work across multiple womenswear categories, managing garment fit, fabric development, construction, and supplier management in a fast-paced wholesale environment, including close collaboration with overseas factories to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of apparel product development experience, ideally within a wholesale business.
• Strong understanding of garment fit, fabric sourcing, washes, finishes, trims, and construction techniques.
• Proven experience in factory allocation, supplier management, and communicating with overseas manufacturers.
• Commercially minded with strong problem-solving, organisation, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning and management of seasonal development calendars, critical paths, line lists, and weekly WIP reports, ensuring development progress and delivery timelines are tracked.
• Manage the product development process from initial design concept through to bulk production across multiple seasons and core collections.
• Oversee factory allocation and supplier relationships, considering cost, lead times, and production capabilities while providing clear specifications.
• Source and develop fabrics, trims, prints, embroidery, washes, finishes, and packaging in line with seasonal direction and target costs; secure approvals before production.
• Coordinate sample submissions and fittings with Design and Garment Technology teams, recording fit comments and amendments.
• Negotiate supplier pricing and identify opportunities to improve margins through effective sourcing and manufacturing efficiencies.
• Collaborate with Buyers, Garment Technologists, Designers, Key Account teams, and suppliers to manage approvals, comments, and order progression.
• Provide day-to-day support to the Product Manager to ensure development activities run efficiently and deadlines are met.
