A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join the Proquip team based in our Head Office in Carlisle.

The ideal candidate will be a Part Qualified Accountant, have a strong work ethic with a “right first time attitude”. You will also need to possess excellent Excel and system skills, with knowledge of Navision Software being an advantage.

You will be responsible for providing management accounting information for ProQuip.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Preparation of draft monthly management accounts and commentary.
2. Preparation of draft monthly rolling cash flow report.
3. Preparation of weekly cash reports.
4. Ad hoc analysis and reconciliations of nominal ledger accounts as requested.
5. Daily posting of cash receipts and payments.
6. Bank reconciliations.
7. Preparation of quarterly VAT return.
8. Other ad hoc clerical work as requested by the General Manager.

KEY TASKS

1. Prepare monthly management account pack and commentary for review by the General Manager, according to the agreed timetable.
2. Prepare quarterly rolling cash flow report for review by the General Manager.
3. Prepare weekly cash reports for review by the General Manager.
4. Post bank transactions daily and reconcile bank accounts monthly.
5. Prepare monthly accruals and prepayments.
6. Prepare sales agent monthly commission statements.
7. Assist the General Manager with budgeting and forecasting processes as required.
