Job summary

Aberdeenshire Council is seeking a Service Development Officer (Whole Systems Approach) to strengthen holistic early intervention and youth justice practice across Aberdeenshire. The base for this position is Woodhill House and you will be part of a supportive Performance Team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and participate in single and multi-agency project groups to identify and deliver improvement priorities linked to Whole Systems, youth justice, early intervention and transitions.
  • Ensure service developments align with The Promise, GIRFEC, the Whole Systems Approach and local/national guidance.
  • Support review and improvement of processes and practice for young people affected by risk, vulnerability, or exploitation.
  • Work with operational staff and partners to capture data, evidence and learning to inform service development.
  • Promote trauma-informed, rights-based, and person-centred approaches with children, young people and families.
  • Analyse progress against aims and prepare reports for project groups and senior leaders.
  • Contribute to wider service developments within Social Work and Children's Services.
  • Identify and secure funding streams to support project activity where required.
  • Strengthen multi-agency practice across Aberdeenshire and maintain links with improvement forums.
