We’re working on behalf of a progressive and well-respected law firm in the Cambridge area who are seeking a Head of Residential Conveyancing to lead their team, drive business development, and nurture existing and future client relationships. About the Role

You’ll be leading the Residential Conveyancing team and playing a key role in the strategic development of the department. This includes managing your own caseload, building and maintaining referral relationships, and representing the firm across local networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and grow the Residential Conveyancing team
  • Manage your own caseload of residential transactions (sales, purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity)
  • Develop and nurture referral relationships in the local market
  • Attend and represent the firm at client events and networking activities
  • Support, mentor and grow a collaborative team
  • Work closely with senior leadership to shape and deliver departmental goals

What We're Looking For:

  • Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive (minimum of 4 years PQE but up to almost any level of qualification) with diverse and comprehensive experience in residential property
  • Strong understanding of property law and conveyancing procedures
  • Proven ability to develop new business and foster referral relationships
  • Local market knowledge and contacts are highly desirable
  • Confident communicator with a commercial mindset
  • Comfortable working flexibly and independently as well as collaboratively
  • Driven to build something of your own, while contributing to a wider team
