Job description

Do you have an interest in or knowledge of vehicles / vehicle parts and looking for a career in the Automotive industry?

Our Head Office in Doncaster is looking for a Wheels & Tyres Operative to join SYNETIQ at our site on Bentley Moor Lane, Adwick-le-Street.

The Opportunity:

The main purpose of the role is to assist in the day to day provision and maintenance of processing wheels & tyres that are suitable for resale or recycle. This team ensures our tyres are correctly repaired, fitted and re-sold to the highest standard.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

1. Balancing wheels
2. Checking wheels on a wheel balancer to determine if they are not damaged and suitable for resale
3. Cleaning wheels and obtaining the correct specification for each wheel this will include Manufacturer, width, diameter, stock number
4. Inputting data into our computer system to create relevant tag number
5. Imaging wheels and storing these in correct locations/shelves
6. Processing online sales orders and liaising with dispatch ready to be wrapped for courier collection.
7. Assisting Counter Sales serving customers face to face.
8. Adherence to health and safety standards

Here’s what you bring:

1. Previous experience in a similar role working with wheels & tyres would be desirable
2. Ability to work in a competent and efficient manner
3. Work well on your own or as part of a busy team
4. You will need to be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and multi-task methodically
5. Must be able to lift and handle heavy weights in a safe manner
6. Must be able to work outdoors in all weathers
