Job summary

Wild Bioscience seeks a driven Head of Wheat Breeding to lead the commercial strategy for its wheat varieties. The role sits at a fast‑growing Oxfordshire/ Suffolk operation, with travel to headquarters as needed. You will partner closely with breeding, regulatory, and sales teams to position and launch new varieties for grower adoption.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in agronomy and product marketing, plus experience navigating UK/EU regulatory pathways and launch planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Agronomy or Business Administration; MBA preferred.
• Experience in product marketing or product management in seed/Ag-biotech.
• Experience with wheat variety development and UK/EU regulatory pathways.
• Able to translate agronomic detail into grower-facing value propositions.
• Experience building launch plans and go-to-market materials.
• Strong relationships with distributors and key grower accounts.
• Comfortable with ambiguity in a growing organization post-acquisition.

Responsibilities

• Own the commercial strategy and go-to-market for Wild Bioscience's wheat portfolio.
• Bridge breeding, regulatory, and sales to drive grower adoption and revenue.
• Develop launch plans, including trial programs and distributor materials.
• Set pricing and licensing terms for wheat varieties in coordination with breeding.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate product claims.
• Build annual UK wheat breeding budget and report to Senior Management.
