Job summary

NZCL invites applicants for the Whānau Support Facilitator role in the Nelson region. The role focuses on empowering people with disabilities and their whānau to live independent lives, through developing relationships and co-creating support plans.

You will lead a team of Support Workers, champion enabling good lives principles, and work across stakeholders to deliver person-centered outcomes in a full-time, Monday-to-Friday capacity.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience within disability, mental health or education sectors.
• Strong written and verbal communication adaptable to diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to build relationships with people with disabilities and whānau.
• Experience leading teams to deliver outcomes aligned with support plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Support Workers to deliver agreed outcomes.
• Develop and maintain relationships with people supported and their whānau.
• Negotiate and refine support plans with the person served and family.
• Ensure robust service agreements balancing goals with organisational risk.
