Job description

We're the feel-good fashion brand making style accessible and fun for over 55 years, on our website, mobile app, and over 300 stores in the UK.

By living our values — we play to win, customer obsessed, we are one, and it starts with me — we deliver That New Look Feeling for our customers and each other.

From our first store in the 1960s, a little Taunton shop with great clothes and even better prices, to an omni-channel business serving millions of customers... we're New Look.

Our purpose is always to inspire That New Look Feeling, and we believe that starts with us. Our values motivate us every day: we play to win, we're customer-obsessed, and we work as one.

It's a busy and exciting time for the brand, and we're on the hunt for a Treasury Analyst to join our growing Treasury team in our Weymouth Support Centre.

The Team

Our Treasury team doesn't accept the status quo; we think disruptively about finance and how we deliver results. We strive to do the right thing, always, focusing on safe, secure, and reliable operations, while seeking out quality for our customers and colleagues to support and drive our business goals. By focusing on the value we're creating and ensuring our delivery choices suit the product and project ambitions, we challenge ourselves and thrive.

The Role:
  • Ensure adequate cash liquidity for Group requirements through cash forecasting on a daily basis, ensuring all trading bank accounts are sufficiently funded.
  • Support the execution and administration of money market deals, FX, IR, and commodity hedges.
  • Resolve any cash/payment/bank account-related queries as they arise and ensure issues are resolved promptly.
  • Prepare period and quarter-end interest, debt, and cost accrual journals (not exhaustive) for Treasury Manager approval ahead of cost reviews.
  • Ensure all bank reconciliations are complete and accurate at each period end, with material unreconciled transactions reported during Balance Sheet Review.
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis and reporting for management.
About You:
  • Proficient in PC use, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe.
  • Numerate with clear written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal colleagues on financial issues.
  • Good knowledge of finance department workings.
  • Demonstrates precision and accuracy.
  • Proactive and responsible in resolving issues.
