Job summary

Niyaa People Ltd invites an experienced Wet Room Fitter to deliver bathroom installations on Stoke-on-Trent council properties on a self-employed subcontract basis.

You will work with a strong plumbing background, wet room installs, a Blue CSCS Card, own van and tools, plus Manual Handling, Asbestos Awareness and Working at Heights certificates. Immediate start on long-term council works is available.

Qualifications

• Experience installing wet rooms and bathrooms.
• Strong plumbing background required.
• CSCS Blue Card (essential).
• Owning a van and tools is essential.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out wet room installations across council properties.
• Completing plumbing alterations and installations.
• Installing showers, shower trays, toilets, basins and associated pipework.
• Fitting sanitary ware and bathroom fixtures.
• Carrying out general plumbing and associated making good.
• Ensuring all installations are completed to a high standard.
• Working alongside other trades, with all flooring works completed separately.

You’ll be working for a reputable contractor in the Stoke-on-Trent area, carrying out wet room installations across council properties. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Wet Room Fitter with a strong plumbing background looking for ongoing subcontracting work with a reliable contractor.

As a Wet Room Fitter you will be:

• Carrying out wet room installations across council properties
• Completing plumbing alterations and installations
• Installing showers, shower trays, toilets, basins and associated pipework
• Fitting sanitary ware and bathroom fixtures
• Carrying out general plumbing and associated making good
• Ensuring all installations are completed to a high standard
• Working alongside other trades, with all flooring works completed separately

• Previous experience installing wet rooms and bathrooms
• A strong plumbing background (essential)
• A valid Blue CSCS Card (essential)
• Their own van and tools
• Valid Manual Handling certification
• Valid Asbestos Awareness certification
• Valid Working at Heights certification
• The ability to start immediately

Location & travel

Based in Stoke-on-Trent, the role involves travelling between properties across the council contract. The area offers excellent road links via the A500, A50 and M6, making it accessible from Newcastle-under-Lyme, Stafford, Crewe and surrounding areas. You will need your own van and tools to carry out the work.
