About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Design Technology teacher to join our dynamic department. This is an exciting opportunity to ignite students' passion for design and problem-solving, equipping them with valuable technical skills and fostering creative thinking.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging Design Technology lessons across Key Stage 3 (Years 7-9) and potentially Key Stage 4 (Years 10-11), aligned with the National Curriculum.
• Use diverse teaching methods to cater to different learning styles, helping students develop their design and practical skills effectively (planning, construction, using various materials and tools).
• Encourage creativity and problem-solving, fostering experimentation and innovation in design.
• Contribute to developing the Design Technology curriculum, ensuring it aligns with school goals, national standards, and incorporates the latest in design education (e.g., technology, sustainability).
• Create and maintain a safe, organized workshop environment.
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and prepare students for exams and assessments.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support the school's success.
