Job summary

Phoenix Resourcing Services is seeking a Foot Mobile Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to support a portfolio of high-end apartments in the West End, Central London.

You will carry out planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical building services, focusing on HVAC systems, pumps and associated plant. The role offers overtime, a competitive salary (£45,000–£48,000), 25 days leave, company pension, and progression opportunities within a friendly team.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial or residential building maintenance.
• Proactive and able to work independently across multiple sites.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Good knowledge of HVAC systems and plant.
• Experience with pumps, motors, valves and pipework systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on mechanical building services.
• Maintain and service HVAC systems, including AHUs, FCUs and associated plant room equipment.
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on pumps, motors, valves and associated mechanical components.
• Carry out inspections and routine servicing of mechanical plant and equipment.
• Maintain heating, chilled water and domestic water systems.
• Complete mechanical repairs and installations where required.
• Identify potential issues and carry out preventative measures to minimise breakdowns.
• Keep accurate maintenance records using a PDA system.
• Liaise with subcontractors for specialist works.
• Ensure all works comply with Health & Safety requirements and site regulations.
