Position: Teaching Assistant (Secondary School)
Start Date: ASAP
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: £12.90 per hour

Are you a Welsh speaker based in or around Pontypool? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you! Teaching Personnel is looking for a passionate and driven Teaching Assistant to support secondary school students in Pontypool and surrounding areas. No prior experience is necessary - full training and support will be provided on the job.

This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for education, resilience in supporting students, and a desire to help create a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Adhere to the school's safeguarding policies to ensure the safety of all students.
2. Foster a positive learning atmosphere that supports student growth.
3. Show flexibility in adapting to the diverse needs of students.
4. Assist teachers and staff with daily tasks and educational activities.
5. Build strong, trusting relationships with students and their families.

Requirements:

1. Level 2 Child Safeguarding Qualification (provided by Teaching Personnel before you start).
2. Ongoing CPD opportunities (Free or discounted training).
3. Right to work in the UK.
4. Enhanced Child Only DBS Certificate (we will help you obtain this).
5. Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) (we will help you obtain this).
6. Two professional references covering the last 24 months.
