We are seeking a proficient Welsh-fluent Cover Supervisor to support various schools in the Carmarthen area.

In this role, you will supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring a seamless educational experience and maintaining a positive classroom environment.

You will have the flexibility to choose your assignments on a full-time or part-time basis, working across multiple schools catering to Welsh-speaking students. This position is ideal for individuals looking to contribute to education while gaining experience, especially suited for graduates interested in pursuing a teaching career.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and engage students during lessons
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure students are on task
• Manage classroom behaviour and foster a productive learning environment
• Encourage student participation and support their learning needs
• Prioritize safeguarding and support the well-being of children

Requirements:

• Fluent in Welsh (essential)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service or willingness to process a new one
• Right to work in the UK
• Experience in classroom management and working with children, ideally in secondary schools
