Welsh Medium Teaching Assistant (SEN/ALN Focus)
Location: Caerphilly
Position Type: Full-time, Part-time, and Ad-hoc opportunities available
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
Pay Rate: From 88.92 per day

Vetro Education is currently recruiting for a Welsh Medium Teaching Assistant to support primary schools across the Caerphilly area. This role will involve working with pupils across the Foundation Phase and Key Stage 2, with a particular focus on supporting learners with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Additional Learning Needs (ALN).

This is an excellent opportunity for a fluent Welsh speaker who is passionate about inclusive education and committed to providing high-quality support to children with diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEN/ALN through the medium of Welsh.

• Collaborate with class teachers and SENCOs to implement tailored learning strategies.

• Assist in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all pupils.

• Support learners with a range of additional needs, including behavioural, emotional, and sensory processing difficulties.

• Help to monitor and record student progress and provide regular feedback to teaching staff.

• Adapt learning materials and classroom resources to meet individual pupil requirements.

Candidate Requirements:

• Fluency in Welsh (spoken and written) is essential.

• Minimum of 3 months' experience supporting children with SEN/ALN in an educational or similar setting.

• Strong understanding of the needs of pupils requiring additional support.

• Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) or willingness to register.

• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

• Right to work in the UK.

• A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach to learning support.
