Job summary

Academics is seeking fluent Welsh-speaking Cover Supervisors to support Welsh-medium primary and secondary schools in Cardiff. This flexible supply role offers opportunities to work across multiple venues while keeping your schedule adaptable.

Ideal candidates will have experience as a Teaching Assistant or Cover Supervisor and be comfortable supporting pupils and managing classroom behaviour. DBS and EWC registration are required.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Welsh is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom cover across Welsh-medium primary and secondary schools in Cardiff.

Looking for flexible work in a wide variety of Welsh-medium schools across Cardiff?

Academics is currently recruiting fluent Welsh-speaking Cover Supervisors to support both primary and secondary Welsh-medium schools across Cardiff. We work closely with local schools that regularly require reliable staff to provide cover on an ad-hoc basis, offering a great opportunity to gain experience in different school settings while maintaining flexibility around your schedule.

The Role

• Providing classroom cover across Welsh-medium primary and secondary schools in Cardiff.
• Supporting pupils with their learning and maintaining a positive classroom environment.
• Following lesson plans and ensuring pupils remain engaged with their work.
• Managing classroom behaviour and supporting the smooth running of lessons.
• Working flexibly across different schools on an ad-hoc basis.

We're Looking For

• Fluency in Welsh is essential.
• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or Cover Supervisor.
• Confidence supporting pupils and managing classroom behaviour.
• A flexible, reliable and adaptable approach to work.
• A genuine interest in supporting pupils within Welsh-medium education.

Requirements

• Enhanced DBS certificate.
• Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).

Pay & Benefits

• £120 per day for Cover Supervisor roles.

Salary will be determined by the successful candidate's qualifications and relevant experience, and will be in accordance with the client's pay policy.
