Job summary

Academics is seeking fluent Welsh-speaking Cover Supervisors to support Welsh-medium primary and secondary schools in Cardiff. This flexible supply role offers opportunities to work across multiple venues while keeping your schedule adaptable.

Ideal candidates will have experience as a Teaching Assistant or Cover Supervisor and be comfortable supporting pupils and managing classroom behaviour. DBS and EWC registration are required.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Welsh is essential.
• Experience as Teaching Assistant or Cover Supervisor.
• Confident with supporting pupils and managing classroom behaviour.
• Flexible, reliable and adaptable approach to work.
• Interest in Welsh-medium education.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom cover across Welsh-medium primary and secondary schools in Cardiff.
• Support pupils with learning and maintain a positive environment.
• Follow lesson plans and keep pupils engaged.
• Assist in maintaining smooth running of lessons and managing behaviour.
• Work across different schools on an ad-hoc basis.
