Job summary

Gower College Swansea is recruiting two Welsh Language Coaches to support Welsh-speaking learners across vocational areas. You will work with teaching staff to promote Welsh across the college, delivering targeted one-to-one and group sessions.

This fixed-term, full-time role spans Swansea campuses and requires positive engagement with learners and staff. Successful candidates will be fluent in Welsh (minimum B2/Advanced), able to communicate with diverse audiences, and proactive in mentoring

Qualifications

• Fluent Welsh speaker with B2/Advanced competency.
• Ability to communicate clearly with diverse audiences (students, staff, external bodies).
• Experience in promoting the Welsh language and mentoring young people.
• Proactive, resourceful, and able to use own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Support Welsh-speaking learners with bilingual learning, motivation, and inclusion.
• Hold focused one-to-one sessions to assess Welsh language, academic, and support needs.
• Plan and deliver engaging group sessions that develop skills beyond the qualification.
