Job summary

Pembrokeshire College is currently seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and proactive Bilingual Support Tutor with proficient Welsh language skills to work across several vocational curriculum areas, including Sports, Animal Care, Childcare and Construction, either full-time or part-time.

The post requires the ability to work confidently through Welsh in a bilingual environment, with a minimum Level 3 qualification and preferably a teaching qualification such as AET/PTTLS.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 qualification.
• Teaching qualification such as AET/PTTLS is desirable.
• Fluent Welsh language skills are essential for this bilingual post.
• Experience in a bilingual setting and working with young learners is important.
• Experience in relevant disciplines (Sports, Animal Care, Childcare or Construction) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support learners within various vocational curriculum areas.
• Assist teaching staff, delivering Welsh-medium sessions where required.
• Support pupil progression and wellbeing within a bilingual learning environment.
