Position Summary:

The Wellness Nurse (LPN/RN) will oversee resident care, supervise staff, assist with medication management, and support clinical assessments to ensure high-quality care for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Resident Services Department associates, including C.N.A.s (Resident Services Assistants).
  • Assist in supervising the medication program and aid residents with self-administration of medication.
  • Maintain positive relations with residents, families, and physicians.
  • Report significant incidents or changes in residents’ needs to the Executive Director/Resident Services Director.
  • Support the completion of resident assessments and service plans.
  • Assist with clinical assessments/recertifications per ALSA requirements.
  • Support Resident Services Director in hiring and managing departmental performance.
  • Assist in training and orienting new associates.
  • Participate in scheduled in-service programs, training, and meetings.
  • Assist with scheduling and staffing of Resident Services Assistants.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to department associates.
  • Support residents and families to ensure high satisfaction levels.
  • Assist with supervision of RSA staff during care provision.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN), licensed in the appropriate state(s).
  • Basic First Aid and CPR certification.
  • At least two years of full-time or equivalent clinical experience.
  • Experience in assisted living or long-term care preferred.
  • Interest or experience working with seniors.
