Wellbeing and Support Officer

About the role

The Wellbeing and Support Officer will support, safeguard, enable, and champion the success of all students by providing front-line and responsive advice, guidance, and referral to other services within and beyond the Student Services Team.

This role's purpose is to ensure all students across the EFI Group, including the most vulnerable, make excellent progress both academically and with their social and emotional development. This post is part of the wellbeing team and the wider safeguarding team, they will be first aid trained, DDSL trained, and be prepared for receiving and managing disclosures in line with the EFI Safeguarding Policy.

About you

  • Experience: You will have a proven track record of operating in a similar role in a comparable environment and have strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Expertise: You will have a comprehensive understanding of pastoral care issues and effective support measures and be knowledgeable about safeguarding, wellbeing, equality, and diversity issues relevant to this role.
  • Passion: You will be a personable, highly compassionate, skilled active listener with an interest in wellbeing and education. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with a wide range of people is essential.

Salary:

From £26,550 to £29,500 per annum, subject to qualifications and experience
