Job description

Wellbeing Physiologist Rehabilitation

Barrow in Furness

We are looking for an experienced Wellbeing Physiologist who specialises in rehabilitation to join our successful client who are currently growing their team. You would be based on site in Barrow in Furness, supporting the delivery of an exceptional Occupational Health service, including wellbeing rehabilitation assessments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients musculoskeletal conditions, identifying root causes of injuries or movement dysfunctions.
  • Develop and implement personalised rehabilitation programmes using evidence-based techniques to aid recovery and enhance performance.
  • Provide hands-on therapy, such as soft tissue techniques, joint mobilisation, and other manual therapies, as appropriate.
  • Educate clients on injury prevention strategies, biomechanics, and exercise techniques to minimise the risk of re-injury.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physiotherapists, sports physicians, and strength and conditioning coaches, to ensure a multidisciplinary approach.
  • Monitor clients progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Deliver individual and group-based evidence-based exercise sessions tailored to all levels of exercise competence.
  • Facilitate group-based functional rehabilitation programmes centred around building autonomy through discussion and exercise programming.
  • Design innovative occupational health programmes in collaboration with the wider multidisciplinary clinical team and the client.
