We are looking for a qualified, experienced Play Therapist to join our team. The position is part-time, 22.2 hours per week. This is a unique opportunity for a highly motivated individual to contribute to the development and delivery of a specialist wellbeing service aligned with the strategic vision for families in Cardiff. The Family Wellbeing Service (FWBS) is Welsh Government funded, operating within the Families First strategy. It is part of the 'Early Help' offer in Cardiff. You will be part of a team providing therapeutic support to parents/carers, children, and young people with an identified need for intensive support related to their emotional and mental health and wellbeing. The aim is to improve emotional health, wellbeing, and resilience, supporting the development of effective coping strategies to better handle problems, stresses, and difficulties.
As a Wellbeing Practitioner - Play Therapist, you will work as part of a team, undertaking assessments and delivering professional play therapy services to children and young people on a 1:1 or group basis. You will practice ethically, adhering to your regulatory body's Code of Ethics and Barnardo's policies and procedures. You will also contribute to the Family Wellbeing Service by providing consultation, information, and support.
