The Children’s Society is recruiting a Wellbeing Practitioner to support young people at the Time for young people space in Plaistow, Newham. This role involves delivering 1-1 interventions and group work with youth, applying trauma-informed approaches to support holistic wellbeing.
Training will be provided to strengthen practice and new ideas are welcome. We value diversity and inclusion, encourage initiative, and seek candidates who reflect the communities served.

The Children’s Society's Time for young people support space in Plaistow, Newham and are looking for a committed wellbeing practitioner to join our team. This is an exciting and unique opportunity to shape a service as part of The Children’s Society’s mission to reverse the decline of children’s wellbeing by 2030. We believe support should be provided at the earliest possible opportunity, before young people reach crisis point.
We are now looking to recruit a Wellbeing Practitioner withyouth work, therapeutic, and trauma informed skillsto deliver 1-1 interventions and group work sessions with young people both at the hub, and throughadditionaldelivery sites in the community. We will be offeringadditionaltraining in the above areas.
We are striving to build a unique, multi-skilled team who are passionate about social justice, inclusion and have excellent knowledge of the complex issues that young people and families face. We are looking for individuals who can work well on theirown initiativeand have greatnew ideasto bring to the team.
We are also looking for people who have a good understanding of the diversity and complexities of the borough of Newham and the surrounding areas. It would be a bonus to have individuals apply who are representative of the cultures and faiths of Newham and who speak languages common to the local area.
