The Children’s Society in Greater Manchester (Anthony Seddon Centre, Ashton) is recruiting an Emotional Health & Wellbeing Practitioner to deliver 1-1 sessions and support young people’s access to self-help and local services. The role is based in Tameside, with occasional evening/weekend hours and DBS checks in line with safeguarding policy.
The post holder will join the Safe Zones service, working to assess risk, build therapeutic relationships and support care plans.

About the role:
Safe Zones Service offers , step-down crisis support to young people experiencing mental health crises. These Safe Zones are located in multiple locations, including Bolton, Wigan and Tameside. Access is initially by referral from the Mental health Liaison Team, CYP Crisis Team, and CAMHS
The successful applicant will work out of Tameside office but can also access The Children’s society offices in Wythenshawe.

The post holder must be available to work occasional shift patterns, this will include evening and weekend hours.
