Wellbeing Lead

We are now looking for a passionate and experienced Wellbeing Lead to join our Occupational Health and Wellbeing service, a key role in shaping and delivering Trust-wide initiatives that support our staff to thrive.

We are looking for a strategic thinker with strong communication skills, capable of engaging managers and leaders, staff networks, and frontline teams alike. You'll work collaboratively across the Trust and with wider system partners to build a culture where wellbeing is everyone's business underpinned by data, co-production, and compassion.

Main duties of the job

You will lead on the development, coordination, and evaluation of evidence-based health and wellbeing interventions as we transition into new ways of working and aligning a growing team with the trusts 5 care groups. Workstreams include, physical health, mental health support, women's health, health inequalities.

Person Specification
Training & Qualifications
  • Honours Degree in a mental/ physical health related subject or Clinical Qualification (Current NMC/HCPC or CIMSPA registration)
  • Knowledge, understanding, application, etc of the health and wellbeing agenda, including NICE Guidelines for Workplace Health
  • Post-graduate study in health and wellbeing and evaluation techniques or experience of promoting health and wellbeing initiatives
  • Managerial experience
  • Additional CPD in Wellbeing including; Behaviour change, Physical Activity Delivery, Mental health services
  • Mental Health First Aid
Experience
  • Experience of organising and managing a health-related service
  • Experience of developing and implementing wellbeing and physical activity interventions for a varied and diverse audience
  • Experience of strategic planning, project or event management within an NHS/ public sector setting
  • Line management and leadership experience of developing and motivating teams of staff and volunteers
  • Experience of analysing complex data to produce reports and presentations to a multidisciplinary audience
  • Experience of delivering presentations to a multidisciplinary audience
Communication and Relationship Skills
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and oral and ability to present to large multidisciplinary groups
  • Ability to influence/ motivate staff to deliver stretch targets

Analytical and Judgement Skills
  • Identify and solve problems, analyse, compare and interpret complex information before reaching a judgement and making a decision.

  • Develop business policies and plans and provide expert strategic and policy advice and guidance across the specialist area
  • Experience of identifying and interpreting national policy
Planning and Organisation Skills
  • Development and implementation of long-term plans to support the delivery of the Trust's Health and Wellbeing Strategy
  • Leading a team in the delivery of project plans, allocating tasks as appropriate, identifying risks, issues and dependencies, considering best practice and current options and ultimately making decisions in the best interest of the work area
  • Well organised and be able to keep projects on plan
  • Able to prioritise own work effectively and be able to direct activities of others
Physical Skills
  • Proficient use of trust-wide IT systems and software required.
  • Expertise in virtual platforms for the delivery of training and information sessions and remote working.
