Milk Education is recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a Secondary School in Newcastle on a long or short-term basis starting in September. This role is temporary/permanent/temp-to-perm.

Qualifications

• Recent experience working in a school or education setting.
• Solid numeracy and literacy skills.
• A Level 2 or 3 qualification in childcare, education or similar – or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Able to take direction from the class teacher and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils one-to-one and in small groups, responding to their individual needs.
• Helping deliver catch-up sessions to close learning gaps.
• Working alongside the class teacher on lesson planning and adapting resources.
• Promoting an accepting, inclusive classroom where every student feels they belong.
