A leading elderly care provider in the UK is looking for a Wellbeing and Activities Coordinator to enhance the lives of residents through engaging events and activities. The role involves understanding residents' needs, planning activities, and promoting a caring environment. Candidates should have experience with older individuals, especially in a Dementia setting, and possess effective communication skills.
Job summary: As a Wellbeing and Activities Coordinator at Avery Healthcare, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our residents by providing a wide range of engaging activities and events that promote their physical, psychological, and social wellbeing. You will work closely with the residents, their families, and the care team to understand individual needs and preferences, and tailor the activity program accordingly.
Main duties of the job: Your focus as Wellbeing and Activities Coordinator will be to provide a wide range of activities to engage and stimulate the residents' physical, psychological, and social well-being and to understand the need to promote the philosophy of privacy, dignity, independence, choice, rights, and fulfilment for all residents. Other responsibilities will include identifying the life history, needs, and preferences of residents, planning and submitting monthly activity and wellbeing plans, arranging activities and events, and maintaining a safe living and working environment.
