Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm and dedicated Wellbeing and Activities Assistant for Acorn Lodge Care Home in Nuneaton. You will assist the Wellbeing Coordinator by delivering engaging activities to support residents’ wellbeing and social interaction.

We value compassionate, respectful team players who communicate effectively and work with older people in a dementia-friendly setting. This role is on-site, with a focus on meaningful experiences for residents.

Qualifications

• Experience in caring for older people in a residential setting is desirable.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Support the Wellbeing Coordinator in delivering a wide range of activities to engage residents’ physical, cognitive, and social well-being.
• Maintain a safe living and working environment and uphold the home’s professional image.
• Report changes in residents’ condition to the Wellbeing Coordinator, Home Manager and care staff.
• Assist with ordering and preparing supplies for upcoming activities.
• Help establish links with the local community to promote intergenerational activities.
