Job summary

Hall Grange care home in Croydon is seeking an Activities Co-ordinator to enhance residents' wellbeing through a varied programme of activities. You will plan, organise, and deliver activities that meet social, physical and emotional needs, working with colleagues, families, volunteers and community groups.

You will promote engagement, independence and fulfillment, ensuring every day offers enjoyment and purpose, with support to residents in using IT and staying connected.

Qualifications

• Passion for improving the lives of older people.
• Ability to design and deliver group and individual activities.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Comfort with IT and helping residents use IT tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and deliver a programme of activities for residents based on assessed social needs.
• Promote residents' wellbeing through engaging activities.
• Support residents in accessing IT options to stay connected.
• Coordinate with staff, relatives, volunteers and community groups to run events.
• Keep records of activities, attendance and outcomes for care planning.
• Review and adapt activities to changing needs and preferences.
• Support induction of new staff as appropriate.
• Ensure safe use and maintenance of activity resources within budget.
• Follow safeguarding, infection control and health & safety policies.
• Attend training and travel to other MHA locations as required.
