Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a Wellbeing and Activities Assistant for Acorn Lodge Care Home in Nuneaton. You will support the Wellbeing Coordinator by delivering a range of activities to engage residents physically, cognitively, and socially.

Qualifications

• Effective communication skills, verbal and written.
• Understanding of how interaction supports residents’ well-being.
• Positive attitude toward older people and commitment to stimulating activities.
• Experience working with older people in a residential dementia setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining a safe living and working environment for residents and staff.
• Report changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition to the Wellbeing Coordinator, Home Manager and care staff.
• Assist with ordering and preparing supplies for activities as directed.
• Establish links with local communities (schools, spiritual groups, museums/libraries) to promote intergenerational activities.
