Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a Wellbeing and Activities Assistant for one of its Wolverhampton care homes. The role supports the Wellbeing Coordinator and involves driving a minibus, planning and running activities to stimulate residents’ physical, cognitive and social wellbeing.

Applicants should have a clean driving licence and experience with older people in a residential dementia setting. DBS check and right to work in the UK are required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with older people in residential dementia settings.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to engage residents in activities that support wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Support the Wellbeing Coordinator in delivering a wide range of activities to engage residents’ physical, cognitive and social wellbeing.
• Plan, run and evaluate activities; maintain a safe living environment and a professional home image.
• Report changes in residents’ condition to the Wellbeing Coordinator, Home Manager and care staff.
• Order and prepare supplies for upcoming activities as directed.
• Build links with local community groups to promote intergenerational activity.
