Job summary

The Cliftonville Care Home, part of Avery Healthcare Group, is looking for a Wellbeing and Activities Assistant to support residents’ physical, cognitive and social wellbeing. You will work with the Wellbeing Coordinator to plan and run a varied activity programme and help build links with local schools and community groups.

Experience with older people in residential dementia settings is essential. A DBS check is required and funded by the employer; you must have eligibility to work in the UK

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with older people in a residential dementia setting.
• DBS check is required and the employer pays for it.
• Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Support the Wellbeing Coordinator in running activities for residents' physical, cognitive and social wellbeing.
• Report changes in residents' physical or emotional condition to the Wellbeing and Activities Coordinator, Home Manager and care staff.
• Help maintain a safe living and working environment at the home.
• Order and prepare supplies for upcoming activities as directed.
• Build links with local schools, faith groups, libraries and museums to promote intergenerational activity.
