Qualifications

  • Lived experience of the criminal justice system or recovery is desirable.
  • Previous experience as a peer mentor in related environments is beneficial.
  • Capability to motivate and change behaviour in others.

Join our dedicated team as a Wellbeing & Accommodation Coach

We are committed to supporting individuals in achieving their personal and professional goals.

As part of the Dynamic Framework Accommodation & PWB services, ensure the delivery of effective interventions and stakeholder engagement both in custody and within the community. This role aims to support male participants across the region in addressing their housing and personal wellbeing (PWB) needs, ultimately reducing their likelihood of reoffending.

Our ideal candidate will offer one-on-one coaching and conduct group workshops to help participants manage their physical and mental health. They will develop personalised action plans to assist individuals in overcoming health and accommodation challenges, and support participants in identifying and accessing suitable accommodation options.

In return for your dedication, knowledge, and commitment, we’re offering a competitive salary range £24,650 up to £29,000 (dependent on experience) with these great benefits:

Location: Cheshire

Hours: 37 Hours per week

Responsibilities include:
  1. Develop and embed a high-quality performance culture in which professional standards are upheld and participants enabled to achieve positive change
  2. Action referrals received from Probation Practitioners and other relevant staff within the timescales of the contract
  3. Undertake any required skills training in order to enhance group-work delivery
  4. Update and maintain an electronic database to record service user attendance and achievement and generate statistics and prepare reports and case studies to demonstrate this
Skills and Experience
  • Lived experience of the criminal justice system (as an ex-service user) and/or recovery from (for example) substance misuse, street homelessness, mental illness - desirable
  • Previous experience of working as a peer mentor within the prison environment, probation setting or charity, or as a community volunteer - desirable
  • Experience in working with groups or individuals in order to motivate and change behaviour.
  • Experience working with a variety of people who have experienced a range of social/personal difficulties
