Well-being and Activities Coordinator - Chorleywood, Hertfordshire

Location: Burford House Care Home, Rickmansworth Road, Chorleywood, Rickmansworth, WD3 5SQ

Hourly rate: To be confirmed

Hours: To be confirmed

Shifts: 5 days a week, shifts across Monday to Sunday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm (includes alternate weekends)

About the role:

  • Identify residents' activity needs and preferences through discussion, assessment, and observation, developing a varied program accordingly
  • Explore appropriate methods and resources for activities, including group events, individual sessions, and community resources
  • Organize themed and fundraising events aligned with holidays and traditions
  • Plan outings considering safety and staffing requirements
  • Manage monthly activity budgets for entertainment, materials, and outings following company procedures
  • Ensure risk assessments are completed for all activities and outings
  • Create newsletters as per company procedures
  • Capture photos of residents, create engaging content, and update social media pages daily

About you:

  • Legal right to live and work in the UK (sponsorship not available)
  • Ability to work collaboratively, caring nature, and positive attitude
  • Understanding of Health and Safety regulations
  • Awareness of the emotional, social, physical, psychological, and intellectual needs of vulnerable individuals
  • Ability to engage residents in recreational activities
  • Previous experience in a similar role in a care home is desirable but not essential
