Job summary

The Shaw Education Trust seeks a Welfare Support Assistant to join our dedicated team at The Westleigh School in Lancashire on a permanent, full-time basis. You will provide day-to-day welfare and first aid support to pupils and staff, helping to create a calm, safe environment during the school day.

The role covers welfare, health, wellbeing, medication administration (where trained), safeguarding, and liaison with parents and external professionals.

Qualifications

• Experience in welfare or pastoral support in a school environment.
• Ability to respond calmly to unwell or distressed pupils.
• Experience administering medication in line with policy and training.
• Strong communication with parents/carers and staff.

Responsibilities
