Job summary

Lowerplace Primary Academy invites applications for a permanent Children's Welfare Officer and Designated Safeguarding Lead. This role leads safeguarding across the school and works with families to plan targeted interventions.

As part of the School Leadership Team you will manage caseloads, represent the school at Child Protection Conferences, and apply knowledge of safeguarding legislation to support pupils' welfare and attendance. The position is 37 hours per week, term-time plus two weeks.

Qualifications

• Strong background in child protection and multi-disciplinary work with children and families.
• Good understanding of safeguarding legislation including attendance and SEND.
• Ability to lead in protecting children from abuse and manage welfare caseloads.

Responsibilities

• Lead safeguarding and welfare matters within the school.
• Represent the school at Child Protection Conferences and manage caseloads.
