Job description

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Welding Manufacturing Apprentice to join our team. This apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop essential skills in a dynamic manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced welders and manufacturing professionals, contributing to the production process while learning the fundamentals of welding and manufacturing operations.

Main duties/Responsibilities:

1. Assist in performing welding tasks, including cladding, MIG, TIG, and arc welding, under the supervision of experienced welders.
2. Learn to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine welding requirements.
3. Participate in the setup and operation of welding equipment and tools.
4. Learn the skills required from a highly experienced and motivated mentor.
5. Attend college as required.
6. Complete all logbooks and assessments in a timely manner.
7. Report any environmental or health and safety issues that arise.
8. Assist colleagues as required.
9. Ensure personal compliance with all HSE legislation and company policies.
10. Follow all 5S and LEAN principles with respect to a manufacturing environment.

What you’ll need:

The successful candidate must have a minimum of three National 5 level qualifications at grade C or above, with two of these qualifications in the subjects of English and Maths.
