Job Description

This role will be responsible for ensuring the safe delivery of preventative planned maintenance and welding repair/fault response for all areas of the "Green Tunnels" planet and surrounding areas.

We are looking for a highly motivated, hardworking, skilled MIG welder with experience in industrial welding.

Responsibilities and Requirements

• Experience in the concrete/pre-cast sector, construction materials, or the construction sector generally, and/or specific experience with similar mechanical plant configuration.
• Ideally, experience working within medium/heavy industrial industry.
• Good mechanical knowledge, including hydraulic systems.
• Ability to work within a team or alone to fault find and use initiative to rectify faults.
• Experience in carrying out planned maintenance and proactively reporting faults.
• Flexibility to work weekends when required.
• An open and willing attitude to learn.

Additional Experience

• Basics in fitting and stripping hydraulic and pneumatic equipment (beneficial).
• Using hand tools for precise operations.

Working Conditions

Working hours are 5am - 2pm, with occasional earlier starts. This is a temporary position with potential for permanent employment.

Qualifications and Training

• Ideally, hold a recognised mechanical qualification and relevant experience.
• Welding standards to BSEN ISO 9606-1 for Single Sided Fillet Weld, Horizontal and Vertical welds.
• Reasonable standard of secondary education.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English, with the ability to read notices and signage for safety.
• Minimum basic safety training.
• Overhead Crane Licence.
• MEWP 3a and 3b Licence.
• FLT Licence B1 & B2.
