A well-established training provider seeks a Welding & Fabrication Instructor to teach and mentor young learners. The ideal candidate will have a Level 2 or above qualification in Welding & Fabrication, coupled with a minimum of 4 years' experience in the field. Excellent communication skills and a passion for education are essential. While assessor and teaching qualifications are preferred, training will be provided for the right candidate.
OVERVIEW: WELDING & FABRICATION INSTRUCTOR
We are currently seeking a Welding professional to deliver and coordinate the successful completion of Welding & Fabrication qualifications for a well-established training provider.
The Welding Instructor role involves teaching, coaching, and mentoring young learners undertaking Welding qualifications. You should be a time-served Welder / Fabricator and ideally hold a Level 2 or above qualification in Welding & Fabrication.
Experience in delivering training and possession of an Assessor's Award or a teaching qualification (PTLLS or above) is preferred. If you do not hold these qualifications but have a genuine interest in moving into a training role, enjoy working in a learning environment, and are a time-served Welder, my client encourages you to apply. The position is based at a training centre in Hull, with potential visits to other centres in the Humberside region. A full UK driving license and personal vehicle are required.
SALARY/BENEFITS: MECHANICAL ENGINEERING TUTOR
* £38-£40K starting salary (dependent on experience & qualifications)

ROLE OF WELDING INSTRUCTOR:
To deliver and coordinate welding qualifications at a high-tech training facility, including classroom-based delivery and assessment in line with awarding body standards.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:
* Minimum 4 years' relevant occupational experience as a time-served welder / fabricator
* Good communication and presentation skills
* Experience working with young people
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES:
* Level 2 (or above) welding qualification
* Knowledge of welding, pipe fitting, plating, and sheet metal work
* Assessor Qualification (A1, TAQA, CAVA, or equivalent) is desirable
* Teaching qualification is desirable
* The position is subject to Enhanced DBS clearance
