Welding Coordinator Role

The Welding Coordinator supports the Senior Welding Engineer in delivering tasks related to ISO 14731 standards. Responsibilities include:

  1. Coordination of WPQRs, including procurement, machining, technique development, PWHT, and mechanical testing.
  2. Assisting in the compilation of pWPSs and welding data packages.
  3. Supporting technical reviews and repair investigations.
  4. Reviewing and accepting filler metal certificates.
  5. Developing welding process procedures and reviewing subcontractor procedures.
  6. Assessing welding equipment suitability and preparing weld repair methodologies.
  7. Researching and implementing new welding technologies and processes.
  8. Providing technical input to the welding team.
  9. Coordinating production test coupons and welder qualifications, including site tests and management of qualification certificates.
  10. Evaluating materials and solving design or work pack issues.
  11. Performing additional duties as assigned by the Senior Welding Engineer.
  12. Preparing weld cards.
