Job summary

Babcock International is recruiting a Production Hub Manager at the Devonport Royal Dockyard site to oversee the welding hub, coordinate resources, and lead a high-performing team in support of submarine programmes.

You will drive productivity, quality, and safety improvements, chair stakeholder meetings, and collaborate with capability managers to develop a skilled workforce for future needs.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and managing operational teams in manufacturing, defence, or industrial environments.
• Ability to coordinate resources and priorities across multiple stakeholders and projects.
• Proven track record delivering productivity, quality, and efficiency improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead welding hub operations and deploy resources across submarine projects.
• Chair planning and look-ahead meetings with stakeholders to set priorities and schedules.
• Drive productivity improvements and identify cost-saving initiatives.
• Collaborate with Production Capability Managers to ensure workforce competence and succession planning.
• Provide visible leadership to ensure safety, quality and performance standards.
