About the Company

Roberts & Prowse, based in Brill, Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, is a Steelwork Fabrication and Specialist Welding Contractor operating throughout the Home Counties, South West & South East of the UK. Due to ongoing success and growth, we are recruiting for a Welding & Fabrication Engineer to join our team.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Senior Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for undertaking welding and fabrication projects at our Aylesbury Factory.

Key Duties

• Operate power and hand tools to cut, shape, weld, and fabricate metal components
• Perform MIG, MAG, TIG, and MMA welding techniques to join metal parts
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
• Assemble structural steelwork and fabricated metal parts using mechanical knowledge
• Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet project specifications
• Ensure all work is carried out to a high standard while complying with health and safety standards

The Ideal Candidate

To be considered, you must be fully qualified with at least 2 years of experience as a Welding & Fabrication Engineer, including:

• Proficiency in MIG, MAG, TIG, and MMA welding techniques
• Ability to operate power and hand tools safely and effectively
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
• Experience in fabricating metal components
• Mechanical knowledge for assembling metal parts
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to read drawings and specifications
• A full driving license

Essentially, you will be a time-served Welding & Fabrication Engineer with experience in engineering and fabrication industries. You should work accurately and effectively with minimal supervision and perform well under pressure.
