Minimum Requirements

• Welding degree or an equivalent qualification
• Detailed knowledge of workshop fabrication and welding processes
• Experience of steel and material fabrication
• Experience in fabrication, welding, and QA technical issues
• Member of relevant professional institute

Preferred Qualifications and Responsibilities

• Provide welding engineering technical expertise
• Maintain and improve product quality and cost base
• Contribute to health and safety compliance
• Monitor fabrication quality, inspection, and welding processes
• Produce and qualify weld procedures from engineering drawings
• Maintain welder qualification system
• Establish heat treatment methods and procedures
• Investigate fabrication and welding issues and recommend corrective actions
• Review and approve sub-contractor and supplier weld procedures
• Manage welding consumables and control inventory
• Train personnel on welding and fabrication quality issues
• Develop welding capabilities with latest technology
• Perform other duties as assigned
