Job description

Welding Engineer Responsibilities:
  1. Reporting to the Senior Welding Engineer, primarily responsible for WPQR creation and testing.
  2. Development of pWPS, procurement and machining of test pieces, technique development, PWHT, and mechanical testing.
  3. Creating WPS and weld repair solutions.
  4. Raising FCRs, RFIs, and NCRs.
  5. Implementing new welding technologies and processes to improve production.
  6. Providing technical input to the welding team.
  7. Training the welding team on new techniques and processes, managing change to design.
  8. Evaluating metals and troubleshooting design or work pack issues.
  9. Overseeing machinery used by the welding team, including calibration and performance testing.
  10. Attending training and seminars to stay updated on welding developments.
  11. Ensuring adherence to health and safety policies and procedures.
  12. Completing additional duties as assigned by the Senior Welding Engineer.
  13. Developing automated TIG solution training.
  14. Supporting production in resolving welding issues.
  15. Performing weld investigations.
