Job summary

First Base Employment is seeking a Welding Coordinator based in Worcestershire, offering a permanent role with an annual salary between £55,000 and £65,000 depending on experience. The successful candidate will lead all welding coordination activities, ensuring compliance with various ISO standards, while collaborating closely with production and quality teams.

Ideal candidates should have a CSWIP 3.1 qualification and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in welding or fabrication environments. Benefits include 20 days of holiday plus bank holidays, a pension scheme, and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Lead all welding coordination activities in accordance with ISO 14731.
• Ensure compliance with multiple ISO standards.
• Support technical reviews and maintain documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop, qualify and maintain WPS and WPQR documentation.
• Audit subcontractor welding capabilities where required.
• Monitor KPI performance and investigate non-conformances.

Skills

CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector qualification

Minimum 5 years' experience within a welding or fabrication environment

Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 3834 and EN 15085

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills

Proficient IT skills including Microsoft Office

Education

HNC or higher qualification in Fabrication & Welding or a related engineering discipline
