Job summary

Rullion is seeking an experienced welding and coating inspector to oversee welding, fabrication and coating activities on an onsite contract in Stockton-on-Tees. You will perform inspections, quality surveillance and documentation reviews to ensure adherence to project specifications.

The role requires 5 years of welding/coating inspection experience and relevant CSWIP/NACE/FROSIO/ICOR certifications, with ISO 9712:2021 preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ welding and coating inspection experience.
• Experience in transmission, distribution, offshore/onshore substations, renewables or major infrastructure projects.
• CSWIP/ICOR/FROSIO certifications required.
• ISO 9712:2021 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee welding, fabrication and coating activities to maintain highest quality standards.
• Carry out inspections, quality surveillance and documentation reviews.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications and contractor surveillance.

Job description

Role Details:

• Location: Stockton-on-Tees
• Start Date: 4th January 2027
• Contract Until: 30th September 2027
• Rate: £35.00-£45.00 per hour
• IR35 Status: Outside IR35
• Hours: 50 hours per week (10 hours per day)
• Working Arrangement: Fully onsiteHourly rate is all-inclusive of travel, accommodation and expenses.

What We’re Looking For:

• Minimum 5 years’ welding and coating inspection experience.
• Experience within transmission, distribution, offshore/onshore substations, renewables or major infrastructure projects.
• CSWIP 3.1 with radiographic interpretation or CSWIP 3.2.2.
• NACE, CSWIP, FROSIO or ICOR Level 2/3 coating inspection certification.
• ISO 9712:2021 certification.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ITPs, NDT, quality documentation and inspection procedures.
• Experience in contractor surveillance, auditing and quality compliance.

You’ll play a key role in overseeing welding, fabrication and coating activities, ensuring the highest quality standards are maintained throughout the project.

Working closely with project teams and contractors, you’ll be responsible for inspections, quality surveillance, documentation reviews and ensuring compliance with project specifications.
